Neuro physiotherapy treatment is aimed at those who have neurological conditions such as stroke (CVA), Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, head injury and spinal cord injury to name but a few.
Treatment techniques together with exercise and movement patterns aim to regain improved function and independence and maintain joint ranges and soft tissue length. Specific handling techniques are used to relax and lengthen tight muscles and joints and stimulate muscles when weak.
Programme for You
Individualised treatment programmes will take account of the varying abilities of the client whilst identifying and working towards their goals of rehabilitation. For those severely affected, regular therapy reviews and dedicated maintenance programmes can be of benefit and taught to carers within the client’s home setting.
